The Donated Dental Services (DDS) is an organization that provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to our country’s most vulnerable people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. These are people who cannot afford necessary treatment and cannot get help in any other way. Program coordinators link volunteer dentists and labs with patients in need.
One of our Seasons of Smiles Dental patients, Karen Davis, came to us through DDS. She has been given a beautiful new smile and is delighted to tears, not just her tears but ours as well. Karen gave our office permission to share her pictures and her story because she says that she can see her real self now when she looks in the mirror, and she wants others to see that there are possibilities for their smiles also.

“Now that I have new teeth I can go find a cowboy!” Karen Davis

Karen, you have a beautiful smile. Thank you for letting us film it.”  Dr. Medina

We at Seasons of Smiles Dental would like to thank Larry Nummerdor and staff at D&S Dental Laboratory for their contribution in this project.
More information on Donated Dental Services can be found here, or by calling the Dental Lifeline for Maine at (207) 620-8276 to speak with the program coordinator, Ann Caron.
